Huge warmup coming in the near term, but March temperature volatility will be the normal for much of this month. Take a look at the next 15-days of temperature anomalies as a 5-day sliding window. I do see more of this in early April, but my current thinking is that once we get past April 10-15, temps make a break for warm and leave the spring cold risk behind for the Cornbelt. (confidence: medium-low)
In contrast, the Southwest, Western/Southern Plains and Southeast likely get warm and stay warm overall with limited intrusions of colder air.
