Snow...

Models continue to adjust the main track of this snow, but each new run continues to produce a "healthy" amount of snow on the backside of the next few spring storm systems. I'd view this snow as a huge benefit to the 2026 growing season because soil temperature have risen above freezing. This will allow the slow melt of this snow to percolate into the top soil reviving soil moisture levels ahead of planting. And, having this happen in early April long before the last frost of spring is a good time. The downside is that it is miserable and pre-plant field work will be limited.
