Poor Air Quality in the Great Lakes From Wildfire Smoke

A bit of an unconventional severe & hazardous weather event ongoing today! Folks across the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. are waking up to air quality in the very unhealthy range (purple shaded areas) and low visibility. This is due to a dense plume of wildfire smoke from fires burning in Ontario. Smoke continues to stagnate beneath a slow-moving ridge of high pressure spinning overhead.
